Terms of Service
Effective: August 21, 2026 Last updated: August 21, 2026
1. Agreement to these Terms
Welcome to PracticeKit. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PracticeKit website (practicekit.ai) and web application (app.practicekit.ai) (together, the "Service"), operated by PracticeKit, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("PracticeKit," "we," "us," "our").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. Who can use PracticeKit
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. PracticeKit is a tool for adult coaches; the Service is not designed for direct use by minors.
You must provide accurate account information (email address) and are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us at coach@practicekit.ai.
3. What PracticeKit does
PracticeKit is a software tool that helps coaches generate practice plans, save drills, and organize coaching notes for youth sports teams. The Service generates content using AI models operated by third parties.
PracticeKit does not:
- Guarantee the safety, effectiveness, or age-appropriateness of any specific drill or coaching cue for your specific team
- Provide medical, safety, or professional coaching advice
- Replace your judgment as a coach
You are responsible for:
- Evaluating every drill and coaching suggestion for suitability with your team, players, and environment
- Ensuring player safety during practice
- Complying with your league's rules, your team's policies, and any applicable laws
- Any decisions you make based on content the Service generates
4. Account tiers, pricing, and billing
4.1 Free tier
The core practice-plan generation is free to use. Free-tier features and limits may change over time; we'll notify users of material changes.
4.2 Pro tier
Certain features (currently Practice Composer and Team Journal) require a paid Pro subscription. When you subscribe to Pro:
- You get a 14-day free trial starting on the date you subscribe. You will not be charged during the trial period.
- After the trial, we automatically charge your payment method on file at the then-current subscription price (currently $6/month).
- Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you retain Pro access until then.
- If your payment fails, we'll retry a few times per Stripe's default dunning schedule. If we can't collect payment, your Pro access will pause.
4.3 Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full credit card details. See our Privacy Policy for details on how Stripe handles payment data.
4.4 Refund policy
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first paid month. If you're unhappy with Pro within 30 days of your first charge, email coach@practicekit.ai for a full refund of that month. No refunds on subsequent months; you can cancel any time to prevent future charges.
4.5 Price changes
We may change subscription pricing. If we do, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email and let you cancel before the new price takes effect.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
- Attempt to access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of the Service, our systems, or the systems of our providers
- Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service through automated means
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service
- Use the Service to generate content that is harmful, illegal, deceptive, harassing, or abusive
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
- Share your account credentials or use another person's account without permission
- Circumvent any usage limits, rate limits, or access controls
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
6. Your content
6.1 What you own
You own the content you enter into PracticeKit — team information, player names, journal entries, notes, feedback, and similar data ("Your Content"). We don't claim ownership of Your Content.
6.2 License to us
You grant PracticeKit a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, reproduce, and modify Your Content solely to operate, improve, and provide the Service. This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except where we're required to retain it (see the Privacy Policy).
6.3 AI-generated content
Practice plans, drills, coaching cues, and other content generated by the Service in response to your input ("Generated Content") is provided for your use in coaching your team. You may use Generated Content for that purpose freely.
Because Generated Content is produced by AI models, we cannot guarantee that it is unique, original, or free from resemblance to third-party content. You are responsible for how you use Generated Content in public or commercial contexts outside coaching your own team.
7. Intellectual property
The Service — including its design, code, animations, drill library, brand, and all other content we create — is owned by PracticeKit and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Except for your right to use the Service and Your Content, no rights are granted to you.
"PracticeKit" and the PracticeKit logo are trademarks of PracticeKit. You may not use them without our written permission.
8. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third-party services (currently Supabase, Vercel, Anthropic, PostHog, Resend, and Stripe). Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' terms and privacy policies. We're not responsible for third-party services.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from security vulnerabilities
- Generated Content is accurate, safe, appropriate, or suitable for your specific team or situation
- Any drill or coaching cue will produce a particular outcome for your players
- The Service will meet your specific requirements
Youth sports involve physical activity that carries inherent risk of injury. PracticeKit is a planning tool; it is your responsibility as a coach to supervise practices, evaluate drill safety, ensure appropriate warm-ups, respond to individual player abilities and conditions, and follow all applicable safety guidelines.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PRACTICEKIT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, including without limitation lost profits, lost data, personal injury, or property damage, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, whether based on contract, tort, or any other legal theory.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to PracticeKit in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.
11. Termination
You can terminate your account at any time by emailing coach@practicekit.ai or (once available) using an in-app account deletion option.
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if:
- You violate these Terms
- Your use of the Service creates security, legal, or operational risk
- We're required by law to do so
- We discontinue the Service (we'll give reasonable notice if we do)
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will survive.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top and, for material changes, notify you by email or in the Service. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
14. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement: these Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and PracticeKit about the Service.
- Severability: if any provision is held unenforceable, the rest of the Terms remain in effect.
- No waiver: our failure to enforce any provision doesn't waive our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment: you can't assign these Terms without our written consent. We can assign them to any successor entity.
